Perth members, if we were to organise a Wine Wednesday on May 8, what area would you suggest and are there any bars or pubs we should look at in particular? Can’t wait to meet you all soon.
The courtyard at 399 Bar can be hired for free, we have used that in the past for events 🙂
Also I should mentioned if you would like the CBD, the QT has a gorgeous rooftop bar, and also some other great wine venues are Tiny’s, Sentinel and The Loft at The Intercontinental Hotel.
I second tiny’s!
Fantastic. Depends on no’s but a few suggestions would be the Little Way in Nedlands also as a few different areas (courtyard and inside) and there are no venue fees, Swallow Bar in Maylands (they have a private room available for circa 12 people – not sure if they have hire fees or not) and The Neighbourhood in Attadale is a great space and has…[Read more]
All I read was WINE and WEDNESDAY :-)! Looking forward to this!
I also second Swallow Bar in Maylands, they are awesome, We have a lot of our club get-togethers there. There is a train station right across the road too
Is this date a definite? I’ll need to reschedule a planned Board meeting and bring everyone to this instead!

Absolutely, agree. I budget by not buying my coffees, breakfast and lunch during the week at work so I can spend those saved $ on experiences with my friends and family. I could have saved for my apartment more quickly if I hadn’t spent money on going out over the past year but I know I would have felt isolated and a little miserable.

We’re floating an event idea around the office today and I’d love some member feedback. Would anyone be interested in a hands on studio session event around investing in your skin (at 20,30,40,50) and why you might be spending unnecessary money on products you don’t need. If this is your sweet spot, I’d also like to know what are you often c…[Read more]
I am always so confused when it comes to skincare. My skin is really important to me so I take interest in reading articles on skincare and spend a decent amount of money on skincare but I feel like I’m always reading or being told about another product that I need. I constantly see the new wonder ingredient or product and I have no idea what I…[Read more]
This is of great interest! Beauty / skincare is such a confusing space with multiple new products on the market claiming they’re a must buy. I’m most interested in understanding what formulas / elements to steer clear of.

Has anyone read My Year of Rest and Relaxation and can you recommend it?

I’m about the same and have no idea if that’s an average amount or not. Although, 14 hours of screen time a week does feel like a lot to me…

Yes! I watched it last night. Can’t stop thinking about it.

I don’t have kids either but based on my experience growing up and the lack of guidance around money maters I would say it’s never too early. Cash seems like the easiest way to explain budgeting and saving to a child but again I don’t have kids so this is merely a hunch.
