After much back and forth (mentally & emotionally) I’ve decided to make my #1 dream come true and move to London! In May.
Would love to hear whether anyone in the FW community has any tips, recommendations on other communities (dw I’ll still be an avid FW contributor from afar), meet ups, events OR contacts in the UK? I’m all ears!
I’m a strategic brand led marketer – having worked in the Sports & Entertainment industry (AFL) for the past 3+ years (delivering campaigns, comms and moments to move AFLW from the start of it’s journey to it’s third season)! Super excited for what the future holds.
I am so interested in this thread, I am thinking of moving in January…
Brexit is the only thing I am weary of, not for immigration problems but potential issues securing employment if it all goes bad and it effects the job market.
I’ve also been conscious of Brexit although Australian friends of mine living in London haven’t found any issues securing work so I’m trying to be as positive as I can !
Thanks @rhansen – I’m super excited for the next chapter to unfold! I only have fond memories of the AFL and yes feel like the last 2.5 years have set me up for success – playing a part in building the cultural momentum surrounding AFLW has been nothing short of amazing! Oh fantastic, I will definitely keep an eye out for any of their upcoming meet-ups / workshops – thank you! I will reach out to her now! Great advice and I couldn’t agree more – I’ve been lucky enough to find a beautiful newly-renovated place overlooking a huge park (in the hope it encourages me to keep up my running!). I leave on the 15th of May…just over 4 weeks away!
