Thanks, Jam! If it hasn’t come through by the end of my Stella Prize longlist blitz, I’ll totally take you up on that!

@beckyhansen I finished Too Much Lip over the long weekend and really enjoyed it! It was confronting, but I appreciated that, especially given the author’s words in the Afterword that note that the novel really wasn’t an exaggeration of the lives and violence faced by Aboriginal Australians. I did a mini-review on my Bookstagram account if you’re…[Read more]

Hey friends, anyone into reading challenges? I’ve been doing the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge for the last few years, and have now come across the Read Women Challenge by the gals that run the Reading Women Podcast, so am doing this in 2019 (along with Read Harder, because I am ambitious)!

I went to reserve this from City of Melbourne Libraries and discovered it wasn’t even on order – Sacrilege! I found the ‘Request a Purchase’ button, and now they’ve ordered a copy, along with a copy of ‘Well Read Black Girl’ which I also requested.
Hint, ladies – If your library doesn’t have your feminist reading sorted, request them books! 😉

I make the most of every day by making sure I hit my 50 Pages a Day reading goal! I love reading about the lives of women, both in fiction and non-fiction, and adore the perspectives and stories shared and written by women. It’s a reminder that the world is bigger than myself and my own bubble.
